An Online Workshop for 40+ Talent
Are you 40+ with some voiceover training or experience under your belt, but still feel like you’re stuck on the sidelines? Maybe you’ve been auditioning here and there, booking the odd job, and quietly wondering if “ageism” is the reason you’re not further ahead.
This workshop is designed specifically for you.
“Your Second Act: Building a voiceover career after 40” is a live, four-hour, small‑group Zoom intensive for mature voice actors who are ready to move beyond hobby status and start treating VO like a serious second (or third!) career. You’ll work with two established, working pros who understand the realities of building a business later in life, and who believe your age and experience are assets—not obstacles.
What to expect
A supportive, peers‑only environment of 40+ talent who “get it”
Roughly 2 hours of focused teaching and discussion, and 2 hours of on‑mic work and coaching
Multiple chances to read for the group and receive clear, practical feedback you can use immediately
Real talk about “ageism” in VO: what’s real, what’s myth, and what you can actually do about it
This workshop is a great fit if:
You’re 40+ and have already taken at least one VO class, coaching session, or workshop
You’ve done some auditions and/or a few paid or unpaid jobs
You’re feeling frustrated or stuck, and suspect your age might be working against you
You’re serious about improving your craft and approaching VO as a genuine second career
This workshop is probably not for you if you are an absolute beginner with zero VO exposure.
What we’ll cover (high level)
Reframing “maturity” as your competitive edge
How to lean into credibility, life experience, and emotional depth in your reads instead of trying to sound younger.A realistic path from hobbyist to professional
What it actually looks like to grow a VO career in mid‑life, including time, money, energy, and realistic expectations.Core genres for mature voices
Corporate, narration, and commercial work where seasoned voices are not just welcome, but often preferred.Live coaching on real scripts
You’ll read multiple times throughout the session and get concrete direction on performance, clarity, and believability.Your 30/60/90‑day plan
A practical roadmap for the next three months so you leave knowing exactly what to work on, how often, and in what order.
Format and logistics
